Zimbabwe scored 118 for 9 in the first 20 overs and gave the Green Shirts a 119-run target to win, which was an easy target.

Pakistani bowlers showed excellent performance, each bowler took a wicket, Mohammad Hasnain and Danish Aziz 2, 2 while Faheem Ashraf, Usman Qadir, Haris Rauf and Arshad Iqbal, playing the first match, took one wicket each.

In pursuit of the target, Green Shirts’ Mohammad Rizwan and captain Babar Azam came on the field, Rizwan returned to the pavilion with 13 runs.

Babar Azam stood at the other end and wickets continued to fall from one end, Fakhr Zaman 2 and Mohammad Hafeez 5 runs returned to the pavilion.

On this occasion, the captain along with Danish Aziz added 22 runs. Babar Azam was dismissed for 41 runs on a total score of 78. Pakistan’s chances of victory diminished.

If Babar Azam had stood for a while today, he would have crossed the fastest 2,000-run milestone in T20 Internationals along with the victory.

When Danish Aziz returned to the pavilion with 22 runs, Pakistan’s defeat was assured. Asif Ali 1, Fahim Ashraf 2, Usman Qadir Safar, Haris Rauf 6 and Arshad Iqbal Safar returned to the pavilion.

For Zimbabwe, Luke Jongwe dismissed 4 Pakistani players for just 18 runs, Ryan Burrell took 2 wickets.
