Lockdown in Lahore, Punjab government’s proposal rejected by NCOC

In Lahore, the rate of corona positive cases has gone up to 20%. The proposal to impose lockdown in the city was rejected by the NCOC.

The Punjab government had suggested a complete closure of Lahore for a week or two, which was rejected by the NCOC.

 Asad Omar said that what is the use of paperwork when there is no process, if the decision of smart lockdown is implemented up to 70% then the turn of complete lockdown will not come.

 Speaking on Geo News program Capital Talk, Asad Umar said that Pakistan was supposed to get 4 million corona vaccines from India in March under Kovacs but India did not provide these vaccines to Pakistan keeping in view its foreign policy.

He said that India has sent vaccines to other South Asian countries.
